The Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam was built between 2004 and 2006 by a Dutch special purpose entity of which Erwin-Walter Graebner held 50 %. In September 2006 it was transferred to its operator the Mövenpick AG.
The hotel is located in the new City Centre between the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and the new Concert Hall directly on the waterfront.
The hotel with its panoramic view to the city and the harbour has 408 rooms and suites, a conference centre and wellness area - all equipped to the very latest standards. A restaurant with terrace and seats for 300 people offers the most impressive panorama of Amsterdam. Due to the internal connection to the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam the hotel can organize conferences for up to 3.000 persons.
During the construction period the hotel was sold to a German real estate fund. A very successful investment is thus completed.
